Invite others as co-leads to help manage your groups. Co-leads are able to create topics, moderate videos, provide feedback, and more. There's no limit to how many co-leads you can add to a group. You can send a co-lead request to any email, even if they're new to Flip.
Add co-leads to your groups
Tip: To add and manage co-leads to a Google Classroom group, you must use a Google email.
- Go to https://flip.com and log in.
- At the left, in your Groups home, select the group where you want to add a co-lead.
- At the bottom right of the group's cover image, click More > Add a co-lead .
- Enter their email and click Invite.
How the user gets a co-lead invite
- The user gets an email with a link to Flip.
- If the user is already a part of Flip: They'll be directed to their existing account or asked to sign in.
- If the user is new to Flip: They'll be directed to sign up for Flip.
- When the user opens Flip, they'll find a co-lead notification at the top of their Groups home page.
- Tip: If they don't get a notification, make sure they're signed in with the email where they received the co-lead invite. To check the email they're signed in with, they can go to their settings.
- To become a co-lead and start to manage the group, they can click Accept.
- As an educator, to confirm the user is now a co-lead of your group, go to the group and click the "Students" tab. The user will have the label "Co-lead." You will also get a confirmation email.
What a co-lead can and can't do
- Co-leads are not able to delete groups. This can only be done by the group owner.
- The co-leads also have all the same settings and notifications as the group owner.
- After a co-lead is added to a group, they can duplicate the group or its topics into a group they own as an educator. Any videos in the original topics won't be duplicated. Learn how to duplicate a group or topic.
Manage your co-leads
As the group's educator, you can easily view, add, and remove co-leads from your group at any time. A group educator is the only one who can add or remove co-leads.
Important: You can't transfer group ownership to others.
