You can add private comments to a video submitted or posted by a member in a topic so that only they can review it.
Important:
- If you add a private comment to a member video in a topic with moderation on, the member will only be able to review the comment through their email notification since their video will show as hidden until you change it to "Active."
- You can let them immediately access their private comment on web or the app by turning off moderation in the topic. Learn more about how to turn topic moderation on or off.
How to add private comments
- Go to admin.flip.com.
- At the top left, select Topics
.
- Select a topic with a video where you'd like to add a private comment.
- Under "Responses," select a video.
- Next to Camera , click the Down arrow > Private comment.
- In the textbox, type your comment and in the bottom right, click Send.
- Open the Flip app.
- Tap on a group with the topic and video where you'd like to add a private comment.
- Tap on a topic.
- Under "Responses," tap on a video.
- At the bottom right, tap Comment.
- Tap on the "Add a comment" text box.
- To change the comment to "Public" or "Private," tap on the bubble at the top of the textbox.
How to download your private and public comments
You can download the private and public comments you added to videos.
Important: This option is only available on web.
- Go to admin.flip.com.
- At the top left, select Topics
.
- Select a topic where you added private comments.
- Above the "Comments" column, click Export data.
- This will download a CSV file with all your comments.
Tips:
- Co-leads can also add private comments, and find the private comments added by leads. Learn more about how to add and manage co-leads in groups.
- Leads can't add private comments to groups created on Canvas. Learn more about the Canvas features and limitations.
