You’re able to record your screen directly in the Flip camera. This allows to you present what’s on your screen while you also record audio and add other effects through the Flip camera.

How to record your screen

Important: To record your screen, you must open Flip in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome. To record your screen on your device, you must use a separate screen recording app and import your video into Flip. Learn how to import your video.

1. Go to https://flip.com and log in.
2. In the top left, click Camera .
   • You can also add a response directly in the topic.
3. At the top right, click Options > Record screen.
   • To select a microphone that isn’t your default: Under “Mic,” click the down arrow . Then, select the microphone you want to use.
4. Under “Capture your screen,” click Select a screen to record.
5. In the “Choose what to share” window, select what you want to record.
   • To share a single browser tab: At the top, click either Microsoft Edge tab or Chrome Tab. Then in the selection window, select the tab you want to record. 
     • Check the "Share tab audio" if you wish to share system audio. 
   • To share a specific app: At the top, click Window. Then in the selection window, select the app window you want to record.
   • To share an entire screen: At the top, click Entire Screen. Then in the selection window, select the screen you want to record.
     • Check the "Share tab audio" if you wish to share system audio. 
6. Click Share.
7. Record your screen and audio.
   • If you want to pause, click Pause recording. When you’re ready to record again, click Resume recording.
8. When you’re done, click Stop recording.
