As a student of a group, you can join groups and post videos on web and mobile.
You can join Flip in two ways:
- With a join code as provided by your educator: Sign up after you enter a join code.
- When you click "Sign up" on Flip: Sign up independently and begin to create videos for your profile.
Step 1: Set up your email or username
- With a join code, you'll either need:
- An email address hosted by Microsoft, Google, or Apple. Learn more about how to find out if your email is associated with Microsoft, Google, or Apple.
- A username or guest password created by your educator.
- Important: Guest passwords can only be used to join a topic. If you need to join a group, ask your educator for help.
- When you click "Sign up," you'll need:
- An email address hosted by Microsoft, Google, or Apple. Learn more about how to find out if your email is associated with Microsoft, Google, or Apple.
Step 2: Join a group or topic
Important: We recommend students to join with their school email address.
- With a join code: You can visit https://flip.com and enter it under "Enter a join code."
- When you click "Sign up:" Even if you haven't joined a group or topic, you can start to create videos and save them to your profile.

Step 3: Create videos
- If you joined a group or topic: You can create videos and post them to those topics.
- If you joined independently and you still haven't joined a group or topic: You can create videos and save them to your profile.

Step 4: Post topics
If you joined a group, you may be able to post topics. To post topics to your educator’s group, your educator must turn on this setting.
