Join and post

You can post videos to your profile or other groups as soon as you join Flip.

Step 1: Enter a join code

To join Flip and post videos to a group, get a join code or link from your educator. For example, "a602dd7e" or "https://flip.com/a602dd7e."

Go to info.flip.com.
Enter the join code or click the link.
If you've already been invited to the group, you can immediately join. If not, you can send a request to join.
To join Flip, choose an email account. If your educator gave you a username and password, enter that instead.
- Important: If you're a student, use your school email address. Your email should be associated to Microsoft, Google, or Apple.

Download the Flip app on iOS or Android.
Enter the join code or tap the link.
If you've already been invited to the group, you can immediately join. If not, you can send a request to join.
To join, choose an email account. If your educator gave you a username and password, enter that instead.
- Important: If you're a student, use your school email address. Your email should be associated to Microsoft, Google, or Apple.

Go to info.flip.com.
You can post a video to a topic or your profile.
- To post to a topic: Select the group and topic where you want to post your video. Then, click Record.
- To post to your profile: In the top left, click Camera.
Under the Record button , select a mode:
- Video mode: Records video and audio.
- Audio mode: Records audio only.
- Create mode: Lets you add camera effects with your camera and microphone turned off. Learn more about create mode.
Click Record. To stop recording, click Stop Record.
Review your video. Learn more about how you can edit your video.
Click Next .
On the bottom right, click Post to topic or Save to my profile.

Open the Flip app.
You can post a video to a topic or your profile.
- To post to a topic: Select the group and topic where you want to post your video. Then, at the bottom, press the Camera icon .
- To post to your profile: At the bottom, tap the Camera .
Under Record , swipe to select a mode:
- Video mode: Records video and audio.
- Audio mode: Records audio only.
- Create mode: Lets you add camera effects with your camera and microphone turned off. Learn more about create mode.
Tap Record. To stop recording, tap Stop record.
Review your video. Learn more about how you can edit your video.
Tap Next .
On the bottom right, tap Post to topic or Save to my profile.

If you joined a group, you may be able to post topics to that group. Your educator must turn on this setting.
