Here are the basics: When you set up your account, you’ll first create a Topic for your learning community. Topics are discussion prompts that your students respond to with short videos. Students then Record a Response and post their video or view and Add a Comment to one another’s Responses.
Groups are a great way for educators to organize multiple Topics and share them with a community of learners. Invite your students to respond to an individual Topic or to access your Group of Topics by sharing the Join Code or Link.
Flip is available on the web and via our iOS and Android apps.
Flip in The Arts 🎨 🎶 🎭
Fine Arts play a vital role in students’ academic, personal, and social development. Flip helps to vividly showcase students’ visual and auditory experiences within arts education. Moreover, Flip allows all students a platform to share (and receive feedback on) their visual art, media art, dance, music, or theatrical work to an audience. Here’s just a few ways that Flip can ignite engagement and capture your students’ learning process and talents within the arts:
⭐️ Perform and describe movements and music that express ideas and feelings
⭐️ Explain and show how music, art, and dance differs within genres or cultures
⭐️ Showcase a final product or video production using multiple tools
⭐️ Collaborate to practice and refine techniques and skills
⭐️ Create, perform, and respond to music
⭐️ Rehearse, evaluate, and refine to prepare for a concert or production
Once you’re ready to create your first discussion Topic, you can dive right in from your Educator Admin or head to the Discovery Library for inspiration.
