When you create a video, you can quickly review and post it or go into the video editor to make changes to individual clips. Learn how to download and change a video you already posted.
Edit a video before you post it
After you record or import any clips, you’re able to make basic edits to individual clips before you post them as a multiple-clip video.
Important: Currently, there isn’t a way for you to edit your video after you post it. You can make a new video as a comment to your first video or download a video you've already posted, edit and trim it, to then repost it.
How to edit your video
- Go to https://flip.com and log in.
- Choose if you want to post the video to a topic or post it to your profile.

To post to a topic: Select the group > the topic where you want to post your video. Then, click Record
.

To post to your profile: In the top left, click Camera
.

To post to a topic: Select the group > the topic where you want to post your video. Then, click Record
- Record your video. Then at the bottom right, click Next
.
- On the review screen, you can rearrange, add, split, or trim your clip into multiple clips. You can also add music.

To rearrange your clips: Hold a clip and drag it to where you want. Then, on the bottom right, click Confirm
. You can now hold a different clip to rearrange it. When you're done, click Next
.

To add more clips to your video: Under the video, next to the clip, click Add more
. Then choose what type of video you want to add.

To split a clip: Under the video, on the clip, drag the line with the circle on top to the point at the clip where you want to split the clip. Then, under the video clip bar, click Split
.

To trim a clip: To open the clip edit bar, under the video, click the clip. Then, select one of the 2 thick bars on either end of the clip and move it to where you want to trim your clip. When you’re done, in the bottom right, click Confirm

To delete a clip: To open the clip edit bar, under the video, click the clip. Then, in the bottom left, click Delete clip
> then click Confirm.

To add music to your video: Under the video clip bar, click Add music
. Select the music you wish to add and click Add

To rearrange your clips: Hold a clip and drag it to where you want. Then, on the bottom right, click Confirm
- When you finish editing your video, in the bottom right, click Next
- Add any relevant information and choose where to post your video. You can add videos to your groups, topics, or profile straight from the camera.
- Open the Flip app.
- Choose whether you want to post the video to a topic or post it to your profile.
- To post to a topic: Select the group > the topic where you want to post your video. Then, tap
- Camera
.

To post to your profile: At the bottom, tap Camera
- Record your video. Then at the bottom right, tap the Clips thumbnail
.
- On the review screen, you can choose how to edit your video.

To mirror your video: Tap the clip, then on the right, tap Mirror
.

To rotate your video: Tap the clip, then on the right, tap Rotate
.

To add music to your video: At the left above Play
, tap Add music

- On the review screen, you can rearrange, add, split, or trim your clip into multiple clips. You can also add music.

To add more clips to your video: Under the video, next to the clip, click Add more

To rearrange your clips: Tap on a clip, hold it, and drag it to where you want. Then, on the bottom right, click Confirm

To trim the clip: Under the video player, select one of the 2 thick bars at each end of the clip. To adjust the length of the clip, tap and hold the bar and move it along the clip. When you’re done, in the bottom right, tap Confirm

To split the clip into multiple clips: Tap and drag the white line to the point where you want to split the clip. Then, at the right, tap Split
- Important: If you split your video clip, your review screen changes to the multiple-clip review screen.

To delete the clip: Tap the clip, then under the clip bar, tap Delete clip

To add more clips to your video: Under the video, next to the clip, click Add more
- When you finish editing your video, at the bottom right, tap Next
- Add a caption (optional) and choose where to post your video. You can add videos to your groups, topics, or Save to My videos.
How to hide or delete your videos
Important: The option to hide videos is only available on web.
- Go to https://flip.com and log in.
