When you record your video, you’re able to add most effects at any time - before, during or after recording. Express yourself and make your videos more unique and fun with effects!
Note: You're able to add stickers or GIFs to your selfie or video cover images too. Learn how to customize your cover image.
When you can add effects during your recording
- Before. Choose your stickers to add on-screen before you hit record.
- During. Hit the record button and add an effect live. You can move stickers and even draw while recording for a dynamic effect.
- After (iOS and Android). Add an effect on the Edit screen. Use the timer to adjust the time you'd like to add effects to show up before submitting your video as final.
How to add effects like stickers and GIFs
- Go to info.flip.com and log in.
- In the top left, click Camera
.
- At the right, in the Effects dock, select Stickers
or GIFs 
. - Find the sticker or GIF you want to use.
- Find stickers: At the top of the “Stickers” drawer, you can select the category of sticker you want to use. Then, scroll through the options. To search for a specific sticker, at the top, click the search bar and enter the specific sticker you want.
- When you search within the stickers effect drawer, you'll now also see image results from Bing.
- Find animated stickers or GIFs: At the top of the GIF drawer, select either Stickers or GIFs. Then, scroll through the options. To search for a specific animated sticker or GIF, in the top left of the drawer, click the search bar and enter the specific image you want.
- Find stickers: At the top of the “Stickers” drawer, you can select the category of sticker you want to use. Then, scroll through the options. To search for a specific sticker, at the top, click the search bar and enter the specific sticker you want.
- Choose how to adjust your sticker or GIF.
- Move: Drag the sticker or GIF across your camera screen.
- Resize: Click and drag a circle that outlines the blue box.
- Rotate: At the top of the blue box, click and drag the circle.
- Delete: Under the blue box, click Delete
. - Mirror: To invert your sticker or GIF, at the bottom left of the blue box, click Mirror
. - Copy: To make a duplicate of your sticker or GIF, at the top left of the blue box, click Copy.
- Bring front or back: If you have camera effects that overlap, you can choose which to display on top or behind each other. To bring the sticker or GIF to the front, to the right of the blue box, click the Up arrow
. To put the sticker or GIF to the back, to the right of the blue box, click the Down arrow 
.
Important: If you record your video on your phone rotated to landscape, the Effects dock shows up at the top. To show all the effects in the dock you tap a right arrow instead of a down arrow.
- Open the Flip app.
- At the bottom, tap Camera
. - At the right or top, in the Effects dock, open the stickers or GIFs drawer.
- To add a sticker: In the Effects dock, tap Stickers .
- To add a GIF: In the Effects dock, tap the down arrow
or the right arrow 
> GIF .
- To add a sticker: In the Effects dock, tap Stickers
- Find the sticker or GIF you want to use.

- Resize: With 2 fingers, pinch in or out.
- Rotate: With 2 fingers, hold and rotate your fingers.
- Delete: Under the white box, tap Delete .
- Mirror: To invert your sticker or GIF, at the bottom left of the white box, tap Mirror .
- Copy: To make a duplicate of your sticker or GIF, at the top left of the white box, tap Copy.
- Bring front or back: If you have camera effects that overlap, you can choose which to display on top or behind each other. To bring the sticker or GIF to the front, to the right of the white box, tap the Up arrow . To put the sticker or GIF to the back, to the right of the white box, tap the Down arrow .
